As some of you know, Frank Shorter (Olympic gold medalist in the 1972 Olympics) will be at the Eye Opener on September 7 to speak with runners and sign autographs. Mr Shorter has also agreed to speak to runners Friday evening (September 6) at 6:00pm at Spartanburg Day School. There is no charge for this event and we would like to fill the gym with as many runners as possible. Please inform your team and their families of this event. Better yet, bring your whole team on the activity bus! Reservations are not necessary, but drop us a line if you plan to bring your team so we can make proper accommodations.
Friday evening's presentation will be held in the Webster Athletic Complex on the Spartanburg Day School Campus (1701 Skylyn Drive, Spartanburg, 29307- directly across from Mary Black Hospital). Driving directions can be found here. If needed, you can also access a campus map here.
Eye Opener technical shirts (Nike volt) will be sold Friday evening at this event for $25.
We look forward to seeing you on Friday evening (September 6), and then again on Saturday morning at the Roger Millken Center.
